So to start off, I have dealt with countless different CRMs whether it would be working in them as a sales person during my time at Google or alternatively setting them up as an admin for my own clients. But nothing stuck out to me as much as Pipedrive and its amazing pros and absolutely dreadful cons.

To start off what is a CRM? (Especially in 2025 terms)

A CRM, or Customer Relationship Manager, is a system that helps businesses grow their clientele and optimize workflows to boost revenue, enhance customer satisfaction, and of course boost profitability. How? Simple! Yoou can divide your prospects and clients apart according to their role, such as sales or service. You can use emails to get information about how well they’re doing at different times of the year (or any other time period); Instead of wasting hours poring over spreadsheets, develop customised reports for every group so that everyone on the team is aware of the status of their respective segments in a matter of seconds. Not so simple right? But wait!

In simpler terms, it would be impossible for businesses nowadays to work with clients if it wasn’t for a CRM. They simply replace the traditional Excel sheets. Yep those exact Excel spreadsheets that the millennials are still breaking their heads with in their “traditional” norms of business. It can go all the way to saving valuable hours when it comes to the tax season with the valuable sales reports , to determining which marketing campaigns outperformed others.

Crazy how everything was on Excel before – right? And before that on paper spreadsheets. Yikes!

So why Pipedrive then?

Pipedrive: “The CRM Built by Salespeople, for Salespeople”. If you work in sales and if you hear that, it makes you want to leave your current outdated CRM and switch to Pipedrive as fast as possible. But wait, let’s understand if it really meant for you.

Pipedrive CRM like any other CRM helps you nurture the lead and turn it into a deal, which ultimately results in a paying client. It does this by following behind every lead that has been created and constantly reminding the sales-person that the lead still exists and it should be worked on. But nagging the sales isn’t the only role of Pipedrive in 2025, it is much more than that (if setup properly that is).

Key features of Pipedrive:

Your Pipeline, Minus the Chaos
No more squinting at spreadsheets or guessing what contact or lead or deal stuck this time. Pipedrive’s drag-and-drop pipeline is like a GPS for your leads, or deals, or even projects. You see exactly where things stand, what’s moving, and where to nudge that stubborn prospect.

Stop Chasing, Start Closing
Forget “follow up someday.” Pipedrive keeps your team hyper-focused on the right actions—whether it’s that overdue email or the big client call—so deals don’t ghost you. (Because “I’ll circle back” isn’t a strategy.)

Works How You Work
Tired of CRM systems that force you into a robotic process? Pipedrive bends to your workflow. Tweak stages, add custom fields, or automate the boring stuff—so you spend less time clicking and more time selling.

Email Superpowers
Ever wish you knew if a client actually opened your proposal? Pipedrive’s email tracking does that. Send/reply right from the platform, and get notified when they peek at your message. (No more “Just checking in!” into the void.)

CRM That Fits in Your Pocket
Stuck in a taxi? Waiting for a latte? The mobile app lets you log calls, update deals, or check stats from anywhere. (Because deals don’t wait for you to get back to your desk.)

No More Guessing Games
Ditch the hunches. Pipedrive’s reports show what’s actually working, which reps are crushing it, which pipelines need love, and how next quarter’s shaping up. Data without the spreadsheets? Yes, please
